Hi there all, I have a ESR750 I purchased second hand, and it turned out it had a cooked motor :( I also have a E36 Great white that goes like the clappers and also has fantastic range, at least 8 miles. Now....should the ESR750EX go anywhere near as well as the E36? Because mine is way way off the pace. I have replaced the batteries with new ones and replaced the motor with a new one BUT to me it just does not go like I have been led to believe it should. I have read unmatched hill climbing performance. WRONG the E36 will kill it on hills, Anyway, enough rant.... HELP...............Please..... ....

The Great White isn't as well built as the ESR IMO and it considerably heavier but it does have a couple of mph advantage and better hill climbing ability than the ESR. I wouldn't say the Great White will stomp the ESR but it does have better performance and range with its greater battery carrying capacity at the penalty of weight. The MY series motor also seems to be reliable even at 48v.

You might want to find a gp shop with a goprammer to double-check your ESR's controller settings and for fault codes. Sounds like you've done enough to rule out any loose battery connections.

Have no idea how a Great White compares but I never felt like my ESR was a slow sled? At 230lbs, I pull steep grades and easily accelerate mild stuff.

With 20lbs, 13AH NiMh add-on pack to the stock EX SLA system I have 8-10 miles turbo, easy. Pushing 90lbs though so it's not an easy subway rider.

I keep-up with NYC traffic 15-20mph and the ESR chassis is so damn strong - I don't get it, your ESR may still have a problem?
