i have a belt driven tanaka paverunner 40cc scooter, i want to put a 2 speed tranny on it like the evo 2. any ideas?

Although the transmissions look similar, mounting the two speed transmission on a Bladez scooter is completely infeasible. The Bladez is a much narrower frame and does not have the correct mounting for the transmission to attach.
If you did perform the fabrication (which would be no small project), it would be less expensive just picking up the Evo 2. (which is a superior frame anyway)

it wouldn't cost more than $700 though, just for some metal, i know that. what kind of transmission systems are there? like how does it switch from one gear to another? i've done some research but i don't really understand it (i'm not stupid).
