Anyone here put one on their ped? I have seen it done before with a 150 pound thruster, but I am looking for a little less thrust, around 50-60 pounds. I am thinking of just running propane, with a simple dual exhuast pulsejet. Would a bigfoot work best you think? Or a solid tire model?

It's not mine, its off some scooter building website. No videos.
But I really have no idea how much thrust I need, and whether or not it should even be a pulsejet, rather than a jet turbine.

   now your talking my language!! not to be a downer but I've made 6 pulse jets valveless and valved and sixty pounds of thrust is 1 overkill and 2 unfeasible it would take at least a 4 foot long lockwood style pulse jet to get 50-60 pounds and take the help of a twenty pounder propane tank thats why he used a 3500 dollar model plane jet engine to power it BUT one thing i always wanted to do is make a quad-pulse jetted go-quad using lockwood style jets talk about poking CrAzY with a stick:stickpoke: lol
oh i almost forgot 20-30 pounds would be fine but still unfeasible i used a 5 pound chinese-valveless to shoot an rc car up to 30mph before hitting a bump and flying it about 45feet in to its doom :(

They're fun and interesting projects but horribly loud. My dad and a friend of his built a Lockwood when I was a kid. Had about a 6 inch exhaust and 4 inch intake and my dad said around 50 pounds of thrust. After the first successful extended test run, the police said complaints had come from as far as 4 miles away and we lived in a very rural area of Oklahoma at the time. I remember it being so loud, some porcelain actual chipped off one of our bathroom sinks from the harmonics. It would actually make your vision vibrate.

I made a 1.2 pounder valveless FWE, but it could only move the skateboard it was on with no person.

yea not to discourage you but a valveless pulse jet would not perform well on a goped. With all that radiant heat if youre going to do it you will need a valved engine running liquid fuel. You will also need to replace the valves every 1/2 hour. Good luck. I have an airtire santa cruz boxer frame i can sell you, pm me
I hope you plan on spending quite a bit of money and a lot of time on fabrication.
