New goped owner with questions
A buddy of mine was cleaning his shed and gave me a goped sport. It was made for Snap-on tools and is in really good shape. I want to at make it work right so my kids can ride it. I put gas in it and it fired right up. The problem is it does not want to grab and move. I adjusted the tire to the drive spindle and it worked better. Right now it's sitting on the bench in pieces. The drive spindle is missing most of the grit(?) Where can I get a new drive spindle? I work in northern Indiana and live in southern Michigan. The serial # is T-17592 Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. Mark

First off, Welcome! Sounds as if the carb may need to be cleaned. These are simple carbs, as you have a G23lh motor and it doesn't have any high or low screws on it. That motor is said to be one of the most reliable and bulletproof ever to be made. Most people order parts from davesmotors.com . They are a vendor on here, and you can see there at at the top left of the screen labeled "DDM" Go to products, then to goped parts. You'll see where to go from there. Also, the Snap-On editions are kind of rare. Snap-on only made a limited amount as a promotional thing. If the deck is in great shape, take it off and buy a new one off of daves. When you go to sell it in the future, you'll get more if that one part alone is in really good condition.

I recommend a Black magic .750 spindle with a 3rd bearing to go with it,DDM sells a combo with both parts and hardware included. I would replace the fuel lines as they're probably not in good shape after storage, lube the throttle cable, change the plug ,and id order a carb rebuild kit and gasket kit as well, chances are the diaphagm isnt very flexible and a gasket kit comes in handy. |

It's worth $200 on a good day. The Snap-On deck is unique. Why change it? Just wondering.

Exactly. That deck is practically the only thing that makes that goped a "Snap-On." Best to try and keep it in good shape for resale
