Tgn Large x-port product review
As many of you know Team Gonads has been making innovative products for a long time and one of them the large x-port. The large x-port i a longer version of the x-port on your x-can or q-can and as many of you know they come in 3 sizes, large, meduim, and small. Also the large x-port is used mostly used on cannister mufflers, i.e. q-can, x-can, and stock can.
installation: tgn includes a very detailed set of directions to make installation as simple as possible. to install the x-port you will need a 4mm allen head style wrench. 1. take your exhaust can off and slip the new bolts and washers into your can and put the x-port on the bolts also. 2. use the gaskets! gaskets provent leaks and seals the x-port to your cylinder and exhaust cannister. 3. threads the bolts onto the cylinder using red locktite (this will insure that your botls will not come loose). 4. wait intil the next day and fire it up! pros: the tgn large x-port has manys pros. as soon as i bolted it up to my sre motor i felt some torque gains right away and a little bit better acceleration. theres not much top end but theres a drastic increase in the low-end. Another pro is that is helps lower the tempature of the cylinder and exhaust. It also clears up any clearance issues you have with the cases. cons: i could only find one con in running a large x-port and that is that it futher lowers your exhaust can to the ground. this is why im pretty sure you cant run pipes without modifing the mount since it will move your pipe back about 1 1/2 inches. conclusion: once again tgn has come through with a great product! i would recomend this for anyone who rides there go-ped around there nieghborhood with a caninster exhaust system. *pics will be up in 30 minutes* |
