TGN stealth can review by Element

TeamGoNads is well know for producing high quality goped parts so when I first heard of the new "stealth" x can i knew i had to try it.

Arrival
After a long awaited week my package arrived from DDM via free ground shipping. It was neatly wrapped and there appeared to be no shipping damage so i went on and started assembly.

Dissasembly and Assembly
1. First take off the rubber thru frame exhaust tube if using.
2. Unscrew the two exhaust bolts while being careful not to strip them.
3. Use the provided bolts and slide them through the can make sure you use at least blue locktite.
4. Next put on a supplied gasket ,the large x-port, and finally another gasket.
5. Now get the correct size allen wrench and put the can on.

6. Find the strap ties underneath your deck and cut them.
7. Get new ones to strap both the silencer cable and the throttle cable back underneath the deck.
8. Now try to take the brake side grip off. The way i did it was shove a bunch of screwdrivers in and slowly pull it off. You can try making an opening with screw drivers and then spray WD40 and it should slide off.
9. Move the brake over to make more room for the shifter and grip.
10. Put the shifter grip on.
11. The leftover grip should not fit on so measure the left over part and cut it off.
12. Slide whatevers left of the grip on and tighten the shifter down by tightening the bolt on the underside of it.

13. Now put the cover on the x-can using the suppied bolts and gasket.

14. Put blue locktite on all of them and tighten them down.
FINISHED

Performance
Since I was using a stock can the performance gains were incredible on a stock sk27. You can feel a little bit more power when the can is on loud than on quiet. Great all around performance increases.

Effectiveness with Silencer
Overall the silencer feature really does work. From going from loud to quiet little performance is lost yet quietness is greatly increased.

Pros
Ability to make quiet with a quick turn.
Have performance of an x can but as quiet as a q-can

Cons
Have a third cable running up the handelbars (a special cable clamp would be great)
Cable is also a little long

Another great product by Team Go Nads

Since you are not running it through the frame, is stealth mode still louder than the stock exhuast?

If you don't have a silencer or a tube to run it through the frame, then I think it's pointless, the exhaust still exits freely.

When the silencer is shut off its a loud, high pitched, crackling, annoying sound.
When its engaged it takes out the high pitched, cracking, annoying sound but yeah its still pretty loud but tolerable. I wish i could run it through the frame
